Moroccan side FUS Rabat secured a convincing victory over Nigeria’s Maktown Flyers in their second game of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Sahara Conference, currently taking place in Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian representatives had opened their campaign on a bright note with a win over JCA Kings of Côte d’Ivoire but were unable to replicate the same performance against a well-organised Rabat side on Sunday.

Making their debut in the competition, Maktown Flyers struggled to match the intensity and execution of the Moroccan outfit, who dominated proceedings en route to a 97-72 victory.

FUS Rabat controlled the game from the early stages, leveraging their experience and offensive efficiency to keep the Flyers at bay throughout the encounter.

The defeat leaves the Nigerian side with work to do in their remaining fixtures as they aim to keep their qualification hopes alive in the highly competitive Sahara Conference.
