Ivory Coast has commenced preparation for the first round, the second window of 2023 Basketball World qualifiers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Ivory Coast will be the host venue of group C in Window 2 of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers, Africa Zone in slated for July 1st to 3rd, 2022.
With two months to the tipoff The Ivorian Coach Lezkano has pen down a pre-list of 28 players made up of 9 Guards 6 Forwards and 13 Centres.
The list involves the returns of Matthew Costello (Baskonia-Spain) and Nisré Zouzouav (AS Alsace-France) which are absent during Window 1 of the 2023 World Cup qualifiers.
In addition to captain Stéphane Konaté (ABC-Côte d’Ivoire), the Ivorian League Men’s championship have three players on this expanded list. They are Pape N’Diaye (JCA-Côte d’Ivoire), Zamba Camara (ABC-Côte d’Ivoire) and Siré Dieng (Azur-Côte d’Ivoire).
The 24 man list also have 7 newcomers, Bazoumana Koné (Torino-Italy), Ugo Doumbia (Chartres-France), Jean-Philippe Dally (Châlon Reims-France), Ismaël Sanogo ( Cremona-Italy), Sydney Hawwmond (Angers-France), Patrick Tapé (JCA-Ivory Coast) and Moussa Bamba (Bassano- Italy), Pohoulou Serge (Grombralia-unisia), Hima Seydou (Ourense-Spain) and Amadou Sidibé (Tours-France).
Ivory Coast is currently top of Group C winning all their games in the first window against Angola, Guinea and Central Africa Republic.
