The Super Eagles depart for Morocco ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday two encounter against the Falcons of Sao Tome and Principe, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Players and officials of the team, top football chiefs and journalists depart for Morocco via the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 12:44am (Sunday morning).
Three time African Champions will slug it out away from home against Sao Tome and PrÃncipe on Monday, June 13, at their Moroccan makeshift home in Marrakech by 2pm Nigeria time.
The Eagles got their 2023 AFCON qualifying campaign off to a positive note after beating Sierra Leone 2-1 on Thursday.
Despite falling behind following an early strike by Jonathan Morsay, the Eagles fought back thanks to goals from Alex Iwobi and Victor Osimhen.
For São Tomé and Principe, it was not the best of starts in the qualifiers as they were hammered 5-1 by Guinea-Bissau.
However, this is the first time ever the Eagles and São Tomé and Principe will clash
