BSN Sports Mourns As Chairman House Committee on Sports, Ekene Adams, Dies

The Publisher, Basic Sports in Nigeria, Niyi Busari, has expressed pains over the sudden death of Ekene Abubakar Adams, a lawmaker representing the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State, www.bsnsports.com.ng can report.

The former CEO of Kada FC passed on in the early hours of Tuesday, 17th July, 2024 after a prolonged illness.

Until his death, Honourable Ekene Adams served as the Chairman House Committee on Sports. In the past, he also held position as the General Manager of Remo Stars.

Reflecting on the last discussion with his ex-boss on phone recently, Busari said, "His genuine dedication and determination for the development of Nigeria sports knows no bounds. Ekene Adams, a former football player, in the last one year as the Chairman of the most important committee in the House of Representatives contributed immensely to the development of sports in Nigeria.

He continued, "During the meeting with leadership of Nigeria Olympics Committee at the National Assembly, Ekene Adams expressed desire to do everything using his office in helping Team Nigeria having the best performance ever at the 2024 Olympics.

"A fulfilled father, a sportsman par excellence, an achiever, goal getter, and a successful sports administrator who was.deeply passionate about played a significant role in the growth and development of sports in Nigeria."

Niyi Busari who was one of late sports administrator Media Aides, paid a condolence visit to his home in Abuja where he met with his wife, children and mother.
