Balogun Announces Departure From QPR, Thank Fans

Super Eagles of Nigeria defender Leon Balogun through his social media handle announced his departure from the English Championship side Queens Park Rangers, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The former Brighton Hove Albion defender joined the Bees last summer after the expiration of his contract.

He spent a major part of the season in the treatment room but returned towards the end of the season.

Balogun and Rangers decided to part ways on mutual consent following the expiration of his contract.

"Thank you to everyone at @officialqpr - the staff, the players and you the supporters. 

Despite everything that has happened throughout this very difficult season, I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club. 

"I’m wishing you nothing but the best for the future you Rs", he said.
