Barau FC, Wikki Tourists Promoted To NPFL

Barau FC and Wikki Tourists have secured promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, for the 2025/2026 season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Barau FC defeated Doma United 2-0 in their decisive final group game of the 2025 NNL Super 8 playoffs at the Delta State University Field, Ozoro.

The Maliya Boys earned NPFL promotion for the first time in the club’s history after picking up five points in the playoffs games. 

Wikki Tourists under the tutelage of Abdul Maikaba defeated Yobe Desert Stars 4-0 to pick the ticket from the Northern Conference. 

Wikki Tourists returned to Nigeria's top-flight division after two years having finished the group with five points and +4 goals difference.
