The manager of the English Championship side Barnsley Darell Clarke has opened up on reasons newly acquired midfielder Kelechi Nwakali is yet to play for the club this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

 Nwakali joined the English club this summer from the Portuguese club Chavez but has yet to kick a ball this season. The coach emphasized on his fitness level and urged him to work more and improved himself. " Kelechi is a mile off right now,” Clarke said in a recent interview. “He needs to do what I’ve told him—get fitter, more high-speed distance running. It’s nothing I haven’t already said to him.” “He needs to improve in all areas, but we also understand he’s adapting to the English game and we’ll keep working with him", he added.
