Basketball: NBBF Invites 32 Teams For Women Elimination Tournament

For the start of the 2023 Women's Basketball season, the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has invited 32 teams to be part of the elimination tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

This was contained in a statement released by the federation in which they listed the names of all the invited teams.

According to the release 16 teams - 8 from each conference - will qualify for the league from the elimination tournament.

And the remaining 16 teams will form the Nigerian Female Division 1 League. 

The format means the women's game will now have a promotion and relegation system.
