Fulham FC manager Marcos Silva has showered praise on Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey, describing him as a player with huge potential and a key figure in his squad, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Since arriving at Craven Cottage, the Nigerian international has established himself as an integral part of the Fulham setup, delivering consistent performances at the heart of defence and earning the trust of the technical crew.

 Bassey’s growing reputation was further enhanced by his impressive displays for the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where he played a significant role in Nigeria’s campaign and drew widespread attention.

Speaking on the defender’s impact, Silva was full of admiration for the former Ajax and Rangers player.
