Battle For Supremacy As Customs, Al Ahly, Zamalek, Others Set For African Interclub Competition in Abuja

Zamalek and Al Ahly from Egypt and Spiking Stars VC of Botswana are the three team that have arrived in Abuja ahead of the 2025 African Women's Volleyball Inter-Cub Competition which holds from today, 1st to 14th April, 2025 at the Multipurpose Hall, Moshood Abiola Stadium Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Record championship winners, Al Ahly of Egypt on Sunday were first team to arrive in Abuja ahead of the competition before the reigning champions Al Ahly hit their hotel on Monday.
Despite making their debut, Spiking Stars VC has already talking tough after their arrival on Monday, saying, they are in Nigeria to make a mark in the two-week volleyball competition.
Whole the organisers, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) are expecting other participants to arrive today (Tuesday) on the day the tourney will commence, both bodies have concluded arrangements for a smooth and seamless tournament.
On Sunday, tye Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Adewale Adeniyi inspected the venue of the competition and confirmed that everything to make the tournament a successful has been put in place.
Meanwhile, Nigeria representative, the Nigeria Customs Service are well-motivated to go all the way to the final and win the trophy. The players are optimistic of giving their best and hopefully beat other African clubs to the title.
