Bayelsa Queens Are 2023 Women's Federation Cup Champions

Bayelsa Queens on Wednesday afternoon emerged as the winners of the 2023 Women Federation Cup after edging Rivers Angels via penalty shoot-outs, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The victory in the cup game will serve as a consolation for the Yenogoa-based club after losing the league title to Delta Queens.

The final which was played at the Stephen Keshi International Stadium in Asaba Delta State saw a very drab first half from both teams.

The second half was lively but no one was able to get a much-needed goal to win the game in a normal time.

They went into penalties after they could not be separated and it was Bayelsa Queens that won 4-2 to lift the trophy.
