Bayelsa Queens FC Mourns With Captain Over Husband’s Demise

 

The management of Bayelsa Queens Football Club says they are saddened by the passing of Mr. Ibrahim Abiola, beloved husband of our team captain, Mrs. Blessing Illivieda Abiola, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tragic news of Mr. Abiola’s death, which occurred on Friday, May 23, 2025, has sent waves of grief across the entire Bayelsa Queens family.

Mr. Abiola, an active footballer and devout Christian, departed this world at a tender age, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and impact.

In a heartfelt condolence message, the Chairman of Bayelsa Queens FC, Pastor Robin Angonimi Apreala, expressed the club’s profound sorrow on behalf of the management, technical crew, players, and support staff.

 “Mr Ibrahim Abiola’s death is not just a loss to his family but also to the wider football community in Nigeria. He was a man who lived a life of purpose and made meaningful contributions to humanity,” Pastor Apreala stated.

He paid tribute to Mr Abiola’s character, describing him as a loving husband and a devoted son.

 “We are consoled by the beautiful legacy he leaves behind and urge the family to find strength in the life he lived.”

The Chairman extended the club’s prayers and support to Captain Blessing Abiola during this incredibly difficult time.

“We received the news of this tragedy with great shock. Our thoughts and prayers are with our captain, Mrs. Blessing Illivieda Abiola, and her family. May God grant them the strength to bear this painful loss and may Mr. Ibrahim Abiola’s soul rest in eternal peace.
