Bayelsa Queens Thrash Ghana Champions To Win WAFU B Champions League

Nigeria's Women's League champions , Bayelsa Queens, have succeeded in their quest to qualify for the 2022 Women Champions League slated for Morocco after ran riots over Ghana champions, Ampem Darkoa Ladies on Saturday, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

The Nigeria team proved too much for their counterparts as they thrashed them 3-0 in the final match played in Yamoussoukro.

Bayelsa Queens have therefore qualified for the finals for the first time after beating Espoir of Benin Republic in 5-0 in semi-final while Darkoa Ladies edged African Sports via penalty shootouts.

Bayelsa Queens dominated the final match from the blast of the whistle and their efforts were rewarded with a penalty kick which was converted in the 11th minute by Joseph Miracle.

Falconets attacker, Sebastian Flourish made it 2-0 in the 19th minute.

Chinyere Igbomalu completed the rout in the 45th minute and ensured that the Nigerians returned to the locker room with a comfortable lead.

The Ghanaians improved in the second half and tried to come back but all their efforts proved futile as Bayelsa Queens ran away with a 3-0 victory.

Winning the region qualifiers means Bayelsa Queens will play in the CAF Women's Champions League finals slated for Morocco in October
