Sampson Adedeji

After recording a remarkable result against Abia Warriors, the head coach of Bayelsa United, Deprieye Tebowei, has reiterated the desire of the team to maintain its premier league status, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The newly promoted club pummeled Abia Warriors 5-1 in match day 12 of the Nigeria Premier Football League game played at the Samson Siasia stadium in Yenogoa.

The coach further said that inclusion of new players also helped the stability of the club.

"We started the league poorly due to a lot of issues, and challenges and the level of concentration and focus from the players affected our start-up.

"I believe, we are getting better in terms of coordination, in our past matches we created a lot of chances, especially at home, we failed to convert but you can see the difference today.

The government came in to help get one or two new players to stabilise the team for us and we are very happy and hopefully, wgatherthered good results and maintain our stay in the premiership", he said.
