Bayo Brace Powers Gaziantep to Convincing 3–0 Win Over Kayserispor
By BSN Sports
Gaziantep delivered one of their strongest performances of the Turkish Süper Lig campaign on Saturday, securing a commanding 3–0 away victory over Kayserispor in Round 13, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
A first-half penalty from Alexandru Maxim and a second-half brace from Mohamed Bayo ensured a fully deserved win for the visitors, who proved far more clinical despite having less possession.
Kayserispor began on the front foot, dictating play and controlling territory, but their failure to capitalise on early openings proved detrimental. Gaziantep, compact and disciplined, punished their hosts in the 39th minute when Maxim confidently converted from the penalty spot.
The momentum swung decisively just before halftime. A sharp counter-attacking sequence ended with Bayo finishing neatly in the 45th minute, following a well-timed assist from Drissa Camara, giving Gaziantep a two-goal cushion at the break.
Bayo struck again in the 64th minute to seal the victory, once more benefitting from precise service from Camara. His second goal underscored Gaziantep’s superior efficiency in transition, a stark contrast to Kayserispor’s struggle to break down the visitors’ well-structured defence.
Despite dominating possession, the home side lacked cutting edge in the final third and were repeatedly exposed on the counter. By the final whistle, Gaziantep’s measured and disciplined display had secured three valuable points and extended their upward momentum in the league.
Kayserispor, meanwhile, will be left to reflect on a disappointing outing marked by defensive errors and missed opportunities.
