 Belgian Side KV Mechelen Signs Nigerian Forward

Belgian Pro League side KV Mechelen have completed the signing of promising Nigerian forward Adeshina Ayodele from French club LOSC Lille, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 20-year-old striker has penned a contract that will keep him at the Belgian club until 2029, with an option to extend his stay.

Ayodele, who joins from LOSC Lille B, began his football journey in Nigeria, where he developed through the youth ranks of Remo Stars before moving to Europe in 2024 after being signed by Lille.

During his time with Lille's reserve team, the Nigerian impressed with an outstanding return of 22 goals and eight assists in 54 appearances.

He also featured in six UEFA Youth League matches, scoring twice to underline his attacking potential.

KV Mechelen will be hoping Ayodele's eye for goal and continued development will strengthen their attacking options as they prepare for the new season.
