Bendel Insurance Resumes Training, To Kickoff Assault For New NPL Season

Federation Cup holders, Bendel Insurance has begun its assault for the 2023-24 domestic league campaign following an impressive 2023 Abridged League outing which saw the Benin Arsenal go 21 games unbeaten, to finish in Group A table as toppers, and the best defensive team in the league.

BSNSports.com.ng caught the head coach Monday Odigie and his players through the media platform at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium which serves as their main training ground, while engaged in a training session in preparations for the new season.

Although the Super 6 playoff round after the 2023 Abridged League season recorded below-par performances, Bendel's season recorded historic wins, bagging their fourth Federation Cup title, which was their first in 43 years, following successes in 1972, 1978, and 1980 previously.

The likes of Ismail Sarki who scored 4 goals, Ismael Seriki with 2, Divine Nwachukwu, and a host of others filed out at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium to feel the sun rays on their bibs.

The new season is proposed to kick off on the weekend of August 26th to 27th 2023.
