Benin Republic football club USCN Cavaliers have parted ways with Nigerian head coach Usman Abdallah after just six months in charge, following a run of disappointing results in the domestic league, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Abdallah, who was appointed in August 2025, leaves the Cavaliers languishing in 16th position on the Championnat National table.

The club has managed only 11 points from 14 matches, recording two wins, five draws, and seven defeats.

The decision was taken amid a difficult campaign for the Cavaliers, who have struggled to climb out of the relegation zone since the start of the season.

Club officials cited the team’s inconsistent performances and poor league standing as key reasons for the dismissal.

Despite the short-lived spell in Benin, Abdallah boasts an extensive coaching and playing career across Africa, Asia, and Europe.

He is best remembered in Nigeria for leading Enyimba to the Nigeria Professional Football League title in the 2018/19 season and guiding the Aba-based club to the CAF Champions League group stage in the same year.

USCN Cavaliers are expected to announce an interim replacement as they seek to revive their season and avoid relegation.
