Benin Football Federation Get New President

Marcellin Bocovè has been elected the new president of the Benin Football Federation (FBF), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Bocovè emerged victorious on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, following the elective General Assembly held at the Akpro-Misserété Excellence Center.

He succeeds Mathurin de Chacus, who has led the federation since 2018, and will serve a four-year term covering the 2026–2030 period.

The election ushers in a new chapter for Beninese football, with Bocovè now responsible for steering the FBF and implementing its development plans and ambitions over the coming years.

His administration will be expected to build on existing programmes while addressing key areas of Beninese football, including domestic competitions, national teams and grassroots development.
