Super Eagles defender Benjamin Fredrick has returned to competitive action after spending nine months on the sidelines with a knee injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Fredrick made his first appearance for Brentford U21 on Monday, marking his return to football since November 2025.

The highly-rated defender featured for Brentford’s youth side as he begins his recovery to full match fitness following the lengthy injury layoff.

Fredrick’s return will come as a major boost to both Brentford and Nigeria, with the 20-year-old regarded as one of the country’s promising young defensive talents.
