Birmingham 2022: Team Nigeria Table Tennis Set To Face South Africa In Group 2

Mixed feelings for Team Nigeria in table tennis during the draws for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games on Thursday evening, as the men's team got a favourable draw while the women's team have a mountain to climb, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.
As the No.2 seed, Nigeria's men's team was handed a good draw in Group 2 as they will compete with South Africa, Ghana and Cyprus.
It will be a daunting task for the women's team who will have to slug it out with No.1 seed Singapore, England and St Vincent and The Grenadines in Group 1.
The Nigeria-led male team will open their campaign on Friday when they face South Africa and Ghana before playing the final group game on Saturday.
The women team who faced St Vincent and The Grenadines and Singapore today (Friday) won the singles and doubles events.
The top two teams from the four Groups will progress to the quarterfinal round of the competition.
