Team Nigeria moved up in the medals table on Tuesday evening as they secured two medals, gold and bronze in the women's discuss event, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.

It was Amechi Obiageri that first put the country on the medals table by clinching a bronze after a 56.99metres throw in the event.

Chioma Onyekwere put the icing on the cake with an amazing performance to secure gold for Team Nigeria.

She threw 61.70metres her personal best and bagged gold and dropped England's Jade Lally to the second position with a throw of 58.42metres.
