Boboye Makes NPFL Return, Replaces Christian Obi As Heartland Head Coach

By Emmanuel Chinedu

Former Akwa United Head Coach, Kennedy Boboye has been appointed as the new Technical Adviser of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Heartland FC until the end of the 2023/24 season, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Boboye replaces Christian Obi as the new gaffer after he failed to secure a single win in the first nine league games this season as Head Coach of the Naze Millionaires.

The Heartland FC management has informed Obi to work under the former Plateau United gaffer as an Assistant or move to the Heartland FC Team B side.

Boboye's first charge as Head Coach of the five-time NPFL champions will be in an Oriental Derby this weekend, when they play host to NPFL champions, Enyimba, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
