Boniface Likely To Return For Freiburg Clash

Injured Nigeria's Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface is likely to be back in action for his German club next week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Boniface got injured while representing Super Eagles in the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda and since then is yet to play for the champion.

The coach of Leverkusen, Xabi Alonso, confirmed that Boniface has recovered quickly and is likely to be ready for Fthe reiburg game next week.

 " Certainly not against Augsburg, we'll see about next week's match against Freiburg, there is still hope", the coach said.

The 23-year-old has scored 8 goals and provided one assist this season.
