Bayer Leverkusen chief Simon Rolfes has rated Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface as a great baller, BSNSports.com.ng sourced on WerksekfXtra.

Rolfes made the comment after rating Boniface playing in a Florian Wirtz-like role against Stuttgart before the international break.

 "He can speed up the game between the lines. He did that really well in Stuttgart.

 "He set Patrik [Schick] up well, held up the ball, but also brought it forward. That's an important element for our game."

 "The Kicker magazine wrote that he filled Florian Wirtz's role a bit - I saw it the same way. He also played as a second striker from a deeper position [for Union Saint-Gilloise] in Belgium."

On Boniface's form: "He did alright [in the Champions League Round of 16 second leg] against Munich and really well in Stuttgart. Boni is undoubtedly a great baller."
