Boniface Wins Rookie Player Of The Year Award In Germany

Nigeria's Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has been named Rookie Player of The Year in Germany, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian International joined the German side last summer after a successful stint with the Belgian Jupiler League side Union St Gillaloise.

He has a season to remember after helping Leverkusen to their first league title and a double-digit goal.

Boniface won the Rookie of the Month for the first 4 months of the season before injury set in for him but he returned with a bang to help the club.

The lanky forward outwitted Xavi Simon and Two other players to emerge as the winner of the Rookie Player of the Year.
