The punters have favored Gli Azzurrini of Italy over the Flying Eagles of Nigeria according to the odds as published by popular bookmakers BSNSports.com.ng gathers.

Game 2 kickoffs later today at the Estadio Malvinas Argentinas in Mendoza, Argentina, between Italy and Nigeria in Group D, with both teams coming on a winning note from Game 1.

The Flying Eagles came from behind to grab maximum points against the Dominican Republic in their opening fixture registering a 2-1 scoreline, while the Italians hustled for a 3-2 win over Brazil in the other center.

The results saw Gli Azzurrini and the Flying Eagles occupy the top two positions - although equal on points and goal difference, which makes tonight's game crucial to determine who tops the Group and secures the first ticket to the knockout stages.

1XBet, a popular site for punters placed the odds at 1.68 for a draw between both teams, while placing Italy at 3.84 for a win and Nigeria at 5.15 for a win.

BetWay placed theirs at 1.67 for a draw, while allotting Italy a 3.60 odd for a win and Nigeria at 4.70.

Bet9ja also followed suit placing the draw at 1.70, Italy's probability to win at 3.60, and Nigeria's odds at 5.10.

According to the laws of booking, 'the higher the odds, the lower the probability,' pointing to Italy as odds-on favorites tonight based on predictions.

However, since football is not played on paper, but on the pitch, Ladan Bosso will not be bothered by the odds, when the Flying Eagles file out in Mendoza by 7 pm Nigerian time to take matters into their hands.
