German striker Karim Adeyemi will join Borussia Dortmund this summer. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Dortmund have agreed a deal with RB Salzburg, with the Austrian club set to receive around £32 million, BSNSports.com.ng gathered.

According to Romano, Adeyemi has been signed by Dortmund as it is looking increasingly likely that the club’s star striker Erling Haaland will move to Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

Karim Adeyemi is a 20-year-old striker. Born in Munich, Germany, Adeyemi actually spent time at the Bayern Munich youth academy. Disputes in contract negotiations saw Adeyemi leave the German giants, eventually moving to RB Salzburg’s youth team.

Since making his debut in the 2019/20 season, Adeyemi has played 92 times for Salzburg, scoring 33 times and assisting 23.

Adeyemi made his international debut for Germany in September 2021. He came on as a substitute and scored against Armenia in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers. The forward’s appearance for Germany meant he was the first player post-war to play for the national team while playing for an Austrian club.

Despite interest from clubs such as Liverpool and Manchester United, Adeyemi has opted for a move to Dortmund. The club’s ability to successfully develop talents such as Jadon Sancho, Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham has made Signal Iduna Park an appealing destination for young talents.

Dortmund fans will be pleased with the club’s early transfer business. The club have already announced the signings of centre-back duo Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck.

Die Schwarzgelben are preparing for Haaland to leave the club. Speaking to Sport1, Dortmund’s sporting director Sebastian Kehl said: “I think there will be clarity in the next week.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he moved on in the end.”

With the departure of the Norwegian imminent, the arrival of another talented youngster will certainly keep the Dortmund fans happy.
