Bosso Reveals Barau’s Slow Start In NPFL

Barau FC technical adviser, Ladan Bosso, has shed light on why the newly-promoted side has endured a slow start to life in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Since the commencement of the 2025 NPFL season, Barau FC have struggled to find consistency, managing just two wins, two draws, and five defeats in their opening nine games.
Speaking to the club’s media, Bosso attributed the team’s sluggish start to the inexperience of his players, most of whom are still adapting to the topflight’s intensity and demands.
“We are working with players that are just coming up. We retained almost all the players that secured promotion for Barau FC, and they will need time to blend with the rigorous nature of the NPFL,” Bosso explained.
The former Flying Eagles coach, however, remains optimistic that his side will soon find their rhythm, drawing parallels with his previous experience at Bayelsa United.
“Like my experience with Bayelsa United, we were also slow with our start, but once we got it right, we moved further up the log. The quality of players here is even better than the ones I had at Bayelsa United,” he added.
Barau FC will be hoping to turn their fortunes around in the coming fixtures as they aim to establish themselves as a strong force in the NPFL.
