With nearly 10 months to go before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Botswana Football Association has announced its provisional squad for the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Zebras will be among the 24 teams competing in the prestigious tournament, set to take place in Morocco.
The early release of the squad, the football body explained, is part of its strategy to ensure thorough preparation ahead of the competition.
Botswana has been drawn into Group D, where they will face tough opposition from DR Congo, Senegal, and the Benin Republic.
Beyond AFCON, the selected players are also expected to feature in international friendlies and other key preparatory matches as the team gears up for the continental showpiece.
