The preparation of Nigeria's Flying Eagles group opponent Brazil for the U20 FIFA World Cup has suffered a huge setback as star defender Kaiky Fernandez has ruled off the tournament due to injury, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Fernandez was injured last weekend and will not recover in time for the tournament that starts on May 20 in Argentina.

Coritiba defender Jean has been called up in his place and is expected to join the camp when they resume on May 8th.

For the competition, the team coach Ramon Menezes announced the list of players that will represent the country.
