Budapest 2023: Chukwuma, Nathaniel Crash Out Of Their Respective Race

The duo of Nigeria Rosemary Chukwuma and Nathaniel Ezekiel crashed out of their races in the ongoing 2023 World Athletics championship in Budapest, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria's sole entrant in the women's 100m Chukwuma was in action and clocked a time of 11.26s to place 8th in the first semifinal of the event.

She competed in the race won by defending champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce who won in 10.89s ahead of Tamari Davis in 10.98s and Ewa Swoboda in 11.01s.

Nathaniel on his part, finished 6th in the opening semifinal of the men's 400mH at the World Championships in Budapest, clocking a time of 49.22s.

Nathaniel had run a very quick 48.47s in the heats on Sunday to qualify, just 0.05s off the National Record he set in 2021.
