Bundesliga 2: Afeez Aremu Part Of Our Future Plan - St Pauli Director

The Sports Director of the German Bundesliga 2 side St Pauli, Andreas Bornemann has confirmed that Nigeria's Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu is part of their plan, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

The German side two days ago tied down the Nigeria international on a long-term contract with his current contract set to expire this year.

Aremu has been an integral part of the team since he arrived from the Swedish side of IK Start a few years ago.

While speaking on the new contract, the director share his thoughts about Aremu a bit when he first arrived but he has grown into the team.

“We are pleased that we were able to come to an early agreement with Afeez about further cooperation. 

"At the beginning of his time in Hamburg, it took him a little to get used to the new league and the football we want to play. 

"However, he has made great strides in his development and is an important part of our plans.”
