CAA Championships: AFN Sets Dates For U18/U20 Trials

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has announced that the national trials for the 2025 Confederation of African Athletics (CAA) U-18 and U-20 Championships will take place from June 30 to July 1 at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu, Ogun State, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The trials will serve as the final selection process to determine Nigeria's representatives for the continental championships, scheduled to hold from July 16 to 20 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta.

The AFN has also issued strict guidelines regarding documentation for all participating athletes.

Required documents include a national identity slip, birth certificate, school leaving certificate, and WAEC results where applicable.

The federation has urged all athletes to ensure complete documentation, warning that failure to present the required documents could lead to automatic disqualification.

Athletes who excel at the trials will be invited to a national training camp, where final preparations will commence ahead of the African championships.
