CAA Region II Seniors Athletics Championship In Ghana Gets New Date

The Confederation of African Athletics Region, CAA Region II Senior Athletics Championship, earlier scheduled for 15th and 16th August 2025, has been rescheduled to Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th August 2025, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to the Ghana Athletics Federation, the adjustment follows the National Mourning Period declared by the President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, in honour of the departed souls from a recent helicopter crash.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) assures that this change will not affect the quality and integrity of the championship. According to them, all logistics, accreditation, and technical arrangements will be adjusted to ensure a smooth and successful event at the University of Ghana Sports complex in Legon, Accra, Ghana.
