CAF: ANFASSC Charges Nigeria Representatives To Qualify For Group Stage

The Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club, ANFASSC has charged Rivers United, Plateau United and Kwara United to seal their berth in the group stages of the CAF club competitions, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

ANFASSC hailed the trio for their relentless efforts and encouraging performances in the first leg of their second preliminary round engagement on the continent.

Kwara United came from behind to beat CAF Confederation Cup holders RS Berkane 3-1 in Lagos, Plateau United recorded a 2-1 win against Esperance of Tunisia in Abuja, while Rivers United also won 2-1 at home against Wydad Athletic Club.

While reacting, the National President of Authentic Nigeria Football and Allied Sports Supporters Club, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi noted that the feat achieved is worthy of celebration.

He said "Even though we know how tricky continental matches can be, we still have to acknowledge the fact that our teams did well on Sunday "

"The job is yet to be completed, but then we are halfway, so congratulations to Rivers United, Plateau United and Kwara United, hopefully, we will have them in the group stages."

The ANFASSC President also charged the teams to get the job done in the second leg by maintaining the momentum that gave them the victory at home.
