CAF: Morocco Face Tanzania In Women's AFCON Final

Host nation Morocco stormed into the final of the 2025 Women's Futsal Africa Cup of Nations after an emphatic 5-1 victory over Angola at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Hall in Rabat.

The Lionesses of Atlas produced another dazzling attacking display, joining Tanzania in the historic final of the inaugural tournament — and securing their spot at the first-ever FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup in the Philippines later this year.

Morocco started the semi-final at a high tempo, applying sustained pressure on the Angolan defence.

 Their persistence paid off when El Madani broke the deadlock in the 13th minute.

However, Angola stunned the home crowd by leveling through Djamila Catombela before half-time, ensuring the match remained finely balanced.

After the interval, Morocco continued to dominate but missed a golden opportunity to retake the lead when Malak Zaid Elkilani failed to convert a penalty.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 30th minute, when Zineb Erroudany rifled home a superb strike to restore Morocco's advantage.

From there, the floodgates opened. Demraoui extended the lead just three minutes later with a crisp finish, before El Madani grabbed her second of the night, capitalizing on a defensive mix-up.

Hajri then rounded off the scoring a minute from time, punishing another Angolan error.

This latest win continues Morocco’s impressive run in the tournament, having earlier overwhelmed Namibia (8-1) and Cameroon (7-1) during the group phase.

Morocco will now face Tanzania in the final, with both teams having already booked their tickets to the FIFA Women's Futsal World Cup, scheduled from 27 November to 7 December 2025.
