CAF Announces Morocco As WAFCON 2024 Host

African soccer governing body has announced Morocco as the host of the 2024 Women African Cup of Nations for the second time in a row, BSNsports.com.ng reports.

The North African country staged the last edition in July and it was Bayana Bayana of South Africa that emerged the winner beating Atlas Lioness 1-2 in the final.

The football body announced Morocco as the host of the biennial tournament on Tuesday afternoon as they continue their readiness for the 44th Congress of the body.

The modalities of qualifiers are yet to be determined, as it was played at the regional level en route the 2022 edition.

The semi-finalists will not be representing the continent in the 2027 World Cup as there will still be another WAFCON before the competition.

Despite losing out in the semi-final of the 2022 WAFCON Nigeria's Super Falcons remained the most successful team in the tournament with 9 titles.
