CAF Appeals Committee Overturns Sanctions Against Samuel Eto'o

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) Appeals Committee has overturned the sanctions previously imposed on Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) President, Samuel Eto'o, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Eto'o had earlier been sanctioned by CAF's Disciplinary Committee with a four-match stadium ban and a $20,000 fine after being found guilty of disciplinary breaches.

However, the CAF Appeals Committee has now cancelled both the stadium ban and the financial penalty with immediate effect, clearing the former Cameroon international of the earlier sanctions.

Reacting to the decision, FECAFOOT welcomed the ruling, describing it as a demonstration of the independence, fairness, and credibility of CAF's judicial bodies.

The decision means Eto'o is no longer subject to the four-match stadium ban or the $20,000 fine and is free to resume his official duties without restriction.
