CAF Appoints Ivorian Officials For Kotoko vs Kwara Clash

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the officiating team for the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round first-leg tie between Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and Nigeria’s Kwara United, scheduled for Sunday, September 21, at the Accra Sports Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Ivorian referee Patrick Tanguy Jean Philippe Vlei R will take charge of proceedings, with compatriots Nouho Ouattara and Lancine Kone serving as Assistant Referees I and II respectively. The role of fourth official will also be handled by an Ivorian, Ibrahim Kalilou Traore.
Elsewhere, seasoned Gambian official Bakary K. Jammeh has been appointed as the Match Commissioner, while Sanusie Rashid of Sierra Leone will serve as Referee Assessor.
The Porcupine Warriors are returning to continental competition and will be eager to make a strong statement as they seek to re-establish themselves among Africa’s top clubs.
