CAF Award: Oshoala, Monday, Ajibade, Kanu Get Nominations

As promised, the African soccer governing body has released the list of nominated women for the upcoming CAF award in Morocco, BSNsports.com.ng report

The football body released the men's list last week and announce the nominated women on the 5th of July.

Four Nigeria's Super Falcons players made list of the player of the year award.

Expectedly, FC Barcelona Feminino attacker Asisat Oshoala led other players which includes Raheedat Ajibade, Uchenna Kanu and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie of Paris FC.

In-form FC Robo striker, Monday Gift also got nominated in two categories young player of the year and inter-club player of the year.

For the inter-club of the year she was nominated alongside Maryann Ezenagu of Rivers Angels.

Gift was the toast of everyone after her load of goals helped Bayelsa Queen to the NWFL title and she was listed for Super Falcons team to the ongoing 2022 African Women Cup of Nations in Morocco.

For the player of the year Oshoala and co will compete with 26 other top players Thembi Ngatana and Jemaine Seopos ewe ( South Africa), Ajara Njoya and Jeanntte Yango ( Cameroon) etc.

Oshoala emerged the winner of the player in the last edition and remained a favourite for this award after her over 20 goals led Barcelona to a domestic double in Spain.
