CAF Award: Peseiro Salutes Osimhen

Super Eagles coach Jose Peseiro has joined the millions of well-wishers across the globe who have congratulated the striker Victor Osimhen on his African best player award, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Napoli forward dumped the duo of Muhammed Salah and Achraf Hakimi to emerge as the African Player of the Year.
The award returned to Nigeria after 24 years, Kanu Nwankwo was the last Nigeria player to win it in 1999.
The Portuguese gaffer confirmed that it was dedication and hard work that gave him the award.
"A big salute to Victor Osimhen for winning CAF Player of the Year and being named in the CAF Team of the Year!Â
His exceptional skill, commitment, and top-notch professionalism mark him as one of the world's best. Truly deserved for an extraordinary talent! ", he said.
Osimhen joined other Nigerian footballers like Rasheed Yekini, Emmanuel Amuneke, Victor Ikpeba and Kanu Nwankwo who have clinched the award in the past.
