Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been crowned the Women’s Team of the Year at the 2025 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards ceremony held on Wednesday evening in Rabat, Morocco, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 10th-time African champions claimed the prestigious honour following their remarkable performance at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), where they emerged champions in Morocco. 

Their impressive run in the tournament significantly strengthened their chances, ultimately earning them the top award.

The latest recognition continues to highlight the Super Falcons’ dominance in women’s football on the African continent and reinforces their status as one of the most successful national teams in the history of the competition.
