CAF CC: Paul Acquah Solitary Goal Push Rivers United To Top Group A Table

Nigeria champions, Rivers United pipped Motema Pembe 0-1 in third CAF Confederation Cup match on Sunday to top group A table, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Rivers United were reduced to ten when Ebube Duru in the 42nd minute was sent off for second bookable offence.

Ten minute later, the only and most important goal. that separated both sides was recorded as Acquah Paul reacted faster than the defenders o put the visitors ahead. He was substituted in the 85th minute for Chiamaka Madu.

With the win the Pride of Rivers are on top of table with six points from three matches while ASEC Mimosa and Diables Noir who occupied second and third positions have four points each.

Rivers United will host Motema Pembe in their group Match-day 4 encounter in Nigeria.
