CAF CL: Esperance Land In Abuja For Plateau United
Ahead of the first leg of the qualifying round of the CAF champions league, the opponent of Nigeria's representative (Plateau United) have landed in Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng report.
The team departed Tunis the capital of Tunisia on Thursday afternoon after observing their morning training.
The former African champions landed in Abuja the venue of the match in the early hours of Africa and moved straight to their hotel.
They will have their compulsory training at the match venue MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Saturday evening before the game that slated for Sunday.
The second leg will hold on Friday, 14th October, 2022 in Tunis.
In the First Round, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja the adopted home ground for Plateau United, the Peace Boys, as they are fondly called, secured a 1-0 win over Stade Mandji of Gabon.
A wonderful header from Haggai Katoh courtesy of a long throw by Daniel Itodo ensured Plateau United progressed with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline, having held their hosts to a 2-2 draw in the first leg in Gabon.
