CAF CL: Watanga FC Sends Warning Signal To Rivers United

Ahead of the 2022/2023 CAF Champions League season, Watanga FC of Liberia has sent warning signals to Nigeria's representative Rivers United, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Watanga emerged as the winner of the Liberian League season and were drawn to face the NPFL champions in the preliminary round of the competition.

The 2022/2023 Liberia Pro League kicked off over the weekend and Watanga started their campaign on a sound note.

They played against newly-promoted side Jubilee FC and were able to record a 4-2 win.

Their twin strikers Farsedu Logan and Sheikh Seesay fired a brace each to hand a maximum point to the defending champions.

Watanga will confront the 'Pride of Rivers' on the 11th of September in the first leg of the preliminary round.
