CAF Cancels Second Preliminary Round Of The Champions League

African Soccer governing body Executive Committee headed by Patrice Motsepe held meeting today (Friday) in Rabat Morocco as planned, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Some key decisions were taken during the meeting but the notable one among them was the changes to the qualifying rounds of the CAF Champions League.

The football body approved the scrapping of the 2nd preliminary round of the Champions League which means a team that lost the 2nd preliminary round will not be relegated to the Confederation Cup like before.

Two Nigeria teams Enyimba International and Remo Stars will represent Nigeria in the Champions League next season.
