CAF Confederation Cup: Dream FC Throws Rivers United's Group Opened

Debutants, Dream FC of Ghana have thrown opened Group C of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup with an away victory over APC Lobito of Angola, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite being a debutant in the competition, Ghanaian champions have recorded a decent result in the group.

After suffering defeat in their opening game against Club Africain in Tunisia, they bounced back strongly to beat Rivers United in the second group game and won their second consecutive game against Lobito FC.

Goals from Issah in the 10th minute, Antwi, doubled the scores in the 58th minute, while Avocevou completed the rout in the 88the minute to ensure a comfortable away win against APC Lobito.

The victory placed three teams, Club Africain, Dream FC and Rivers United level on 6 points each going into Match-day 4 next week. Rivers United will travel to Tunisia for the return leg against Club Africaine while Dream FC host APC Lobito on December 20.
