CAF Confederation Cup: Libya Derby Sets Tone For Quarterfinals Clash

Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Tuesday afternoon conducted the draws for the quarterfinals and semifinals of the 2022 CAF Confederation Cup with the Libya derby highlighting the round, BSNSports.com.ng reports.


The draw held in Cairo with the assistance of Angolan legend Flavio Amado, CAF Competitions Director Samson Adamu also paired South Africa side Orlando Pirates against Simba SC of Tanzania.


Pyramids FC of Egypt will face TP Mazembe of DR Congo while the Egyptian Al Masry will lock ons with RS Berkane of Morocco.


The Libyan derby which is the last fixture of the round will be played between Al-Ittihad and Al Ahli Tripoli.

Quarterfinals


QF 1: Simba SC (Tanzania) – Orlando Pirates (South Africa)


QF 2: Al-Ittihad (Libya) - Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya) – a derby


QF 3: Pyramids FC (Egypt) – TP Mazembe (DR Congo)


QF 4: Al Masry (Egypt) – RS Berkane (Morocco)


SEMIFINALS


SF 1: Winner QF 2 – Winner QF 1


SF 2: Winner QF 3 – Winner QF 4
