CAF Delegation Arrive in Uyo For Champions League Final

Ahead of this year champions league final, the inspection team of the Confederation of African Football has landed in Uyo to inspect the facilities on the ground, BSNsports.com.ng gathered



The football body earlier in the year threw open the country that has the intention to stage the final of the champions league and confederation cup.


Since the 2021 edition, the African soccer ruling body has decided to be having the final staged in a one-legged affair instead of the two-legged one known for.


Five countries including Uyo, Nigeria submitted bids to have the final played in Nigeria.


Goodswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo is the venue Nigeria put up to stage the final and CAF delegation arrived in the city on Saturday to have a look at the stadium among other facilities.


The group stage of the competition has just ended and 8 teams have qualified for the knockout round that will start in earnest.
